Annual neighborhood flea market takes place this weekend | News

Calvary Baptist Church in Rhinelander is hosting its annual neighborhood flea market this weekend.

“On Saturday we have our 16th “We are looking forward to the annual neighborhood flea market here at Calvary, it will be a great day,” said Pastor Ankrom.

The flea market starts on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. at the earliest and ends at 2:00 p.m. Some sweet treats are available from 10:00 a.m.

“The special thing about the Calvary Flea Market is that there are free corn on the cob, which is prepared on the grill as expected, and there is free ice cream,” said Pastor Ankrom.

There is still time to get involved if you would like to participate in the sale as a vendor. The church also accepts donations in kind.

“We still have some vendor booths available. If anyone would like one of these, please contact the church. You can call us or email us. We would be happy to set you up before Saturday, but it must be ready before Friday,” said Pastor Ankrom.

Vendor spots are available for $10, but will be fully refunded after your spot is cleaned.

“This year, since Calvary has a special section, all proceeds from our Calvary section of the flea market will go to the Christmas in Heaven campaign to provide gifts for children overseas and in developing countries,” said Pastor Ankrom.

Pastor Rod is looking forward to seeing the many faces of the congregation at the sale this weekend.

“We really enjoy having people come by. You can find anything, pretty much anything you can imagine. But the advantage here is that you don’t have to go to 16 different flea markets, you can go to one flea market and visit 16 different places,” said Pastor Ankrom.
