Resident Alien Screenwriter Aaron Wiener has confirmed that work on season 4 has begun and offers a hint as to what to expect as the series progresses. While it’s unclear what that means for the upcoming season, the major cliffhanger that ended season 3 of the sci-fi comedy-drama means the focus will undoubtedly be on solving Harry and Bridget’s current capture on the moon base.

Now Wiener has published confirmation that Writing for new episodes of Resident Alien Season 4 has begunand gives hints as to what to expect in the coming episodes.

The author explains how much he enjoys working on the series, a possible hint at the exciting events to come as the series continues to develop. Wiener also mentions Syfy, even though the series has moved to the US, perhaps to highlight the network that made the series possible in the first place.

New storylines will likely be a major focus

Resident Alien Season 3 ended with Harry and Bridget are trapped on the Greys’ Moon baseapparently brought there for getting too close to the Mantid in a nearby cell. The first big focus of season four will likely be their return to Earth, whether it takes several episodes for them to return or it becomes a season-long story arc. While the pair are held captive in space, Mike has finally found evidence of aliens on Earth after punching a Grey in the face. His future character development could focus on the truth rather than passing it off as fantasy.

Although it is suggested that the Mantis will pose a clear threat in Season 4, The Greys are still a formidable enemy who, after everything that has happened, will undoubtedly have bad blood with the main characters. Perhaps the biggest of these events was D’Arcy taking Ben and Kate’s baby back and nearly blowing up their ship in the process. This could lead to the cast of Resident Alien will be targeted by aliens in the fourth season, and a more open conflict could arise.
