XR Device Management Service secures millions to scale VR training

This week, ArborXR, the mobile extended reality service and content management, announced a capital raise of approximately $12 million, bringing the company’s total capital raised to more than $25 million at the time of writing.

The funding will help ArborXR enhance its XR device and software management solutions. To help ArborXR expand the benefits of its unique XR-enabled MDM solution, the company received backing from Mercury Fund and Cortado Ventures in its latest funding round, with additional participation from Impact Venture Capital and Lewis & Clark Ventures.

Brad Scoggin, co-founder and CEO of ArborXR, added:

Global companies and institutions are recognizing the potential of XR to transform businesses and enable significant cost savings, operational efficiencies, and better training tools. Since its inception, ArborXR has established itself as a trusted partner for organizations looking to deploy, scale, and maximize XR in their operations. We continue to identify and address the time-consuming and frustrating elements of traditional MDM platforms and work to improve the capabilities of our solution and guide our customers through every step of their XR journey.

The ArborXR platform is designed to support the enterprise adoption process of AR/VR/MR, which the company says is currently progressing slowly among consumers and going unnoticed in modern enterprises.

However, the company argues that its XR-MDM solutions can help modern offices, especially hybrid environments, scale immersive training and education to deliver secure, controlled virtual learning environments. The company also points out that this new training process could save about 30-70 percent of training-related costs.

XR Middlewear increases in value

Adrian Fortino, Managing Director of Mercurystated that “advances in immersion technology have proven to be an untapped segment.”

Although the XR space has yet to break through into the mainstream, there is enough interest in the business community to invest millions in the MDM/middleware layers needed to build an immersive future. The XR world is more than just headsets; additional services need to gain traction and support the growing technology sector as the puzzle gets bigger and bigger.

Fortino also added:

ArborXR’s continued success demonstrates the value of the technology to enterprises and its potential to transform the fundamental operations of Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, healthcare providers, and more. The ArborXR team has established itself as a dominant force in this fast-growing industry with a growing global customer base.

ArborXR highlights how its MDM portfolio provides a centralized solution that helps organizations scale XR training and manage XR device fleets. Companies like Bank of America, Pfizer, Delta, Walmart, and UPS use ArborXR today to improve their training processes.

Mohsen Khurasany, current customer and Senior Manager for XR Innovation & Content at Walmartadded:

The ArborXR platform is incredibly easy to use and the responsiveness of the ArborXR team has allowed us to continually improve and optimize our training initiatives. ArborXR’s content sharing and publishing channels have streamlined our interactions with vendors, allowing us to test and deploy content effortlessly. The impact we’ve seen with XR has been remarkable, resulting in better engagement, improved knowledge retention, and faster time to competency. As we scale XR training across the organization, ArborXR stands out as the best enterprise MDM solution on the market.
