David and Victoria Beckham are planning a “blowout party” for their 25th wedding anniversary.
The 48-year-old footballer married Victoria, 49, in July 1999 when she was at the height of her fame with the Spice Girls, just months after they welcomed their son Brooklyn, 24. Together they also had Romeo, 21, Cruz and 12-year-old Harper Seven.
Ahead of their silver wedding anniversary as well as Victoria’s 50th and Harper’s 13th birthdays, insiders say the “family-focused” couple are now planning a big bash to celebrate all of their marriage’s major milestones.
There was talk of having a big party to really give guests something to remember. A silver wedding anniversary is a real cause for celebration – and it’s not often that a family gets to celebrate one in the same year as a 50th and a 13th wedding.
“David and Victoria are very family-oriented people. It means everything to them, so it’s a great opportunity. They’re still in the idea phase, but it will probably happen in the summer.”
Since her time as Posh Spice in the 1990s girl group, Victoria has built a new career as a fashion designer and the insider claims that she will even design her own dress especially for the occasion to showcase her talent.
The source added: “It’s going to be a real event and Victoria is keen to design the perfect dress to show what she can do!”
Just a few days ago, Victoria admitted that although she has known the former Manchester United star since 1997, it was only in recent years that she learned to enjoy football.
She told the Financial Times: “I never enjoyed watching football. I never felt particularly wanted (at the games). I don’t mean that I’m poor, but it was never as much fun as it is now.”
“Now when we’re in Miami, I feel welcome. I’m friends with the players’ families.”
