Score Atlanta launches Georgia High School Sports Daily on Peachtree Sports Network

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Score Atlanta is launching a new sports show for Georgia high school athletes that will air weekdays on Peachtree Sports Network beginning Sept. 3. The “Georgia High School Sports Daily” show will also stream live on the free Atlanta News First streaming channel “ANF+” and the Atlanta News First app on Apple and Android devices.

The new show will run Monday through Friday from noon to 1 p.m. during the school year and will focus on all Georgia High School Association (GHSA) sports seasons and championships. The show will take an in-depth look at teams, student-athletes and coaches, with an emphasis on the athletes who will go on to play at the college level.

“We’ve been working on this for a year, and with a fully built-out studio, we’ll be able to deliver a high school show every day, similar to what ESPN does with multiple sports and the NFL and MLB networks do with their daily shows,” said IJ Rosenberg, president of Score Atlanta, whose company will broadcast more than 44 high school football and flag games on Peachtree Sports Network this season. “There will be a strong emphasis on breaking news, interviews, stories, rankings and so on. And this won’t just be a high school football show. In the fall, we’ll also be broadcasting volleyball and softball and anything unrelated to the other sports. It should be a lot of fun, and the student-athletes and coaches can watch on their phones during their lunch break.”

The show will air every weekday at 11 a.m. on the Peachtree Sports Network, and talent for the show will be announced soon. Scheduled guest hosts include football stars and experts, including former NFL Hall of Famers from Georgia and On3 recruiting expert Rusty Mansell. Additionally, Score will partner with the weekday morning newsletter “Georgia High School Football Daily,” and Daily writers Todd Holcomb and Chip Saye will appear on the show.

“We want to be the go-to destination on television for high school sports fans,” Rosenberg said. “We have events like the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic, our Friday night games (Drive for the GHSA State Title), the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame and the Georgia Elite Classic that add momentum to the show, and we’ll be able to offer a lot of variety in terms of guests and information. This won’t be a bunch of arguing blabbermouths. This will be news with interviews and information on all high school sports.”

Launching in October 2023, Peachtree Sports Network will provide live regional sports programming to viewers in the Atlanta area and six Georgia markets.

“Peachtree Sports Network was created for live sports broadcasts and sports programming like this,” said Erik Schrader, vice president and general manager of WANF/WPCH. “We are excited to add this daily show to our schedule and continue to grow our sports fan base here and across the state of Georgia.”
