“Irritated” George Clooney attacks Tarantino for reference to “Not a Movie Star”

George Clooney is not so happy with his From dusk to dawn Co-star these days.

The famous actor admitted on Tuesday that he was “a little irritated” by Quentin Tarantino after the legendary director allegedly suggested that Clooney was not a real movie star.

It is unclear when Tarantino made the alleged reference, but Clooney had some kind words ready when he sat down with Brad Pitt for an interview with GQ and described in detail the Hollywood drama behind the scenes.

“Quentin said some things about me recently, so I’m a little confused,” Clooney began. “He did an interview where he was listing movie stars and he was talking about (Pitt) and someone else, and then this (interviewer) says, ‘And what about George?’ He says, ‘He’s not a movie star.’ And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me one movie since the turn of the millennium.'”

Clooney was appalled by Tarantino’s claim that he had not acted in a successful film in almost 25 years.

Since the turn of the millennium?” Clooney told GQand reacts to the swipe. That’s basically my whole damn career.”

The magazine reported that Pitt burst out laughing at this point.

It is understandable why the 63-year-old Clooney feels offended. He has done some of his best work since the turn of the century, including two Oscars: Best Supporting Actor for Syrian in 2005 and Best Film for Argo a film he co-produced in 2012. Clooney also starred in The storm in 2000, and the Ocean’s Eleven The trilogy only began in 2001.

Apparently, Clooney’s feud with Tarantino didn’t last long. GQ As reported, his final comments on the matter were: “So now I’m like, okay, dude, fuck off. I don’t mind giving him shit. He gave me shit. But no, look, we’re really lucky that we got to work with these great directors…”

GQ reported that Tarantino’s name came up again during his meeting with Pitt and Clooney. The discussion was about Tarantino’s acting in From dusk to dawnin which he played the unpredictable brother of Clooney’s character. Pitt praised Tarantino’s performance, which prompted Clooney to joke: “He was OK in it.”

Tarantino, 61, has not publicly commented on Clooney’s counterargument.
