Halle Berry’s horror film “Never Let Go” hits theaters earlier this fall

EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate expands Alexandre Aja-directed psychological horror film starring Halle Berry Never let go from 27 to 20 September.

The move comes as Sony and Apple Studios delay their release of George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s noir comedy. Wolves to a limited publication. This allows Never let go to get extra playing time before Warner Bros.’ big October blockbuster, Joker: Foil for Two which opens on October 4th.

Never let go joins Paramount Animation’s Transformers One and MUBI’s Demi Moore horror film The substance on September 20th.

Never let go leaves the Francis Ford Coppola title distributed by Lionsgate Big city on September 27th together with Universal/DreamWorks Animation’s The wild robot and IFCs Azrael.

Aja directed the alligator horror film before Covid Creep, and the restart of The hills have eyes. As evil takes over the world on their doorstep, the only protection for a mother (played by Oscar winner Berry) and her twin sons is their home and the protective bond of their family. Forced to stay in constant contact – even tying themselves with rope – they cling to each other, urging each other never to let go. But when one of the boys asks if evil really exists, the ties that hold them together are severed, setting off a terrifying struggle for survival. Also starring: Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins.

Lionsgate presents the title in association with Media Capital Technologies, 21 Laps and HalleHolly Productions. KC Coughlin and Ryan Grassby wrote the screenplay. Producers are Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Dan Levine and Aja. EPs are Berry, Holly Jeter, Daniel Clarke, Emily Morris, Christopher Woodrow and Connor DiGregorio.
