If you’re a student, you may be eligible for additional discounts on your cell phone service. For example, US Mobile offers 20% off its Unlimited Premium monthly plan. If your university is a US Mobile partner, you can save an additional 5%.
In this article, I’ll take a closer look at US Mobile’s student discount and what you get with Unlimited Premium.
Monthly Unlimited Plans starting at $25 at US Mobile
US Mobile offers monthly and annual phone plans. Although annual phone plans are cheaper overall, it’s not always practical for a college student to pay for a year of cell phone service up front. Fortunately, US Mobile’s Unlimited Starter plan is available for $25 per month.
US Mobile’s Unlimited Starter plan includes unlimited talk, text and data (35GB Premium), plus 10GB of hotspot data. New customers can activate a new line with this tariff and receive a 40% discount for three months. This brings the total price to $45 upfront ($15/month) for three months. Although Unlimited Starter is not eligible for additional student discounts, it can be a great way for students to save in the first few months of service.
However, Students are eligible for an exclusive discount on US Mobile’s Unlimited Premium plan. This plan normally costs $44 monthly, but with an active university email address you can save 20%, making the total price of the plan $35 monthly, including all taxes and fees. If your university is a US Mobile partner, you can save an additional 5%, making the monthly plan price $33.

- 50 GB mobile hotspot data
- International calls and SMS
- Up to 10 GB international data
- Free teleports
When you sign up for US Mobile, you can choose which network you want to connect to: Dark Star (AT&T), Light Speed (T-Mobile), or Warp (Verizon). Free teleports allow you to switch networks up to eight times per billing period. You can find out more about US Mobile’s networks here.
To get the US Mobile student discount, enter your university name, email address and graduation dates on the US Mobile website here. To keep your student discount, you must keep autopay enabled, but you can pause or downgrade your plan at any time.
US Mobile: A low-cost mobile operator on every network
US Mobile offers one of the cheapest phone plans available as well as competitive pricing on unlimited phone plans. In addition, Customers can now switch between three different networks to get the best coverage.
US Mobile’s Warp network gives you access to Verizon’s towers, while the Light Speed network gives you access to T-Mobile’s towers. US Mobile’s newest network, Dark Star, gives you access to AT&T’s towers.
