CHICAGO – The DePaul women’s soccer team was recognized for having the sixth-highest grade point average on the NCAA Division I women’s soccer team and was also one of 22 teams honored with the 2023–24 BIG EAST Team Academic Excellence Award.

The 2023-24 Blue Demons achieved a team GPA of 3.77, tied with Coastal Carolina for sixth in the nation. New Mexico, Denver, Mercyhurst, Missouri and Presbyterian (SC) finished in the top five spots in the United Soccer Coaches’ Team Academic Award rankings. In total, 458 soccer teams (188 men’s and 270 women’s) achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year.

The BIG EAST Conference honors the teams with the highest combined GPA in each conference sport, and DePaul led the way with five honored teams, including women’s basketball, women’s soccer, men’s/women’s tennis and women’s volleyball. Eleven schools had at least one team honored.
