Touch-A-Truck and Power Wheels Derby return to Aiken | Aiken area news

Get ready for an action-packed day as the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department presents the 22nd Annual Touch-A-Truck. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center, 1700 Whiskey Road.

This family-friendly event is free and open to the public and offers children the opportunity to climb, sit and explore a wide variety of vehicles.

This year, a diverse array of vehicles from local businesses and organizations will be on display, including contributions from the City of Aiken and community partners committed to making this annual event a memorable and educational experience for families.

To accommodate all guests, the event will feature a “Sensy Hour” from 9am to 10am, where sirens, lights and horns will be limited for a quieter, more enjoyable experience. Additionally, food vendors and a variety of other activities will be available throughout the event to ensure a fun day for all.

The Power Wheels Derby begins at 10 a.m. and registration is $5. Participants must be 8 years old or younger and must bring their own helmet and vehicle. Space is limited. To register online, visit coa.page/pfaa. To register in person, visit the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center.

This year’s event is sponsored by Duke’s Bar-B-Que and Oh Mie Stelle! Bakery.
