Kit Harington’s maternity horror Baby Ruby is available to watch on Netflix in the UK.
The “Game of Thrones” actor stars alongside Noémie Merlant (“Portrait of a Lady on Fire”) in the film, which was written and directed by Tony-nominated playwright Bess Wohl.
Baby Ruby premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and stars Merlant as lifestyle influencer and expectant mother Jo. Happily married to Spencer (Harington), Jo insists on throwing her own baby shower and that nothing will change once her bundle of joy arrives.

It soon becomes clear that Jo’s life is about to change drastically when she begins to experience strange events related to the birth.
After Ruby is born, Jo is left to face the challenges of motherhood alone, joins a mothers’ group and realises that her daughter may behave differently in her presence than her father and grandmother.
In the dramatic trailer (which you can watch above), Jo shows signs of postnatal depression, while Spencer brushes aside her problems and tells her that “everyone goes through it.”

The cast of “Baby Ruby” is rounded out by Meredith Hagner, Jayne Atkinson and Reed Birney.
The film, available on Hulu in the U.S., received positive reviews after its debut in Toronto two years ago.
At the time, IndieWire praised Wohl’s direction, saying the director “handles the psychological horror elements with aplomb,” while The Playlist said the film conveys “a powerful message” about a hidden aspect of motherhood.
Baby Ruby is available to watch on Netflix in the UK and on Hulu in the US.
