CHEYENNE, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – As the work week begins, you’ll want to have your umbrella ready.
The westerly flow will bring some haze to most of the area tonight. This will be due to smoke from wildfires in Oregon, Idaho and California. With a wind shift, this haze will subside overnight.
Towards the evening we will see clouds again in our region. Towards the morning isolated showers are possible. There is even a fear that there will be fog in some areas of western Nebraska. The lowest temperatures in the region will be between 4 and 10 degrees.
On Monday, skies will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in the afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms could be strong. High temperatures will continue into the
We are monitoring the possibility of some strong storms through Monday. Parts of southeastern Wyoming, southwestern Nebraska, and northeastern Colorado are under a slight risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather. Storms on Monday afternoon may bring gusty winds and hail.
Extended Forecast for Cheyenne – Storm chances continue through Wednesday. Temperatures will remain steady at 80 degrees. Although it will dry out toward the end of the week, rain chances will remain low.
Extended forecast for Casper – Although clouds remain, it looks like it will remain mostly dry. However, there is still a chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms each day. Temperatures will continue to rise through the end of the week.
