On Thursday’s This Morning, Craig Doyle interrupted the show to make a special announcement.

During the show, Craig and his co-host Josie Gibson spoke to people affected by the recent unrest.

One notable moment was when the conversation turned to Alex McCormick. When a popular library and community centre in Liverpool was set ablaze, Alex didn’t just stand by and watch: she led a campaign that raised an incredible £200,000 for repairs.

But in the middle of the interview, Craig cleverly changed the subject and revealed: “We’re celebrating feel-good on This Morning today, Alex, we’re celebrating real feel-good this weekend. A little bird told me you’re getting married in a few days, is that right?” reports the Mirror.

Alex coyly confirmed her upcoming wedding on Sunday, saying: “Yes, I’ll be there on Sunday!”

Josie was amazed at Alex’s commitment to fundraising for her community, especially so close to her special day.

She expressed her surprise: “You have to sort all this out before your wedding on Sunday?! I’m sorry this happened to you now of all times.”

But Alex remained unconcerned and replied: “No, you know what, luckily the wedding was still beautiful and well organized.

“It was a really lovely, positive week leading up to the wedding. I saw communities come together. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Josie emphasized the power of unity in difficult times, telling Craig, “When we come together, great things can happen!”

In a sweet moment, Craig sent Alex his best wishes for their upcoming wedding on Sunday, saying, “Have a great day!”

ITV viewers have been enjoying the dynamic between Josie and Craig as they stepped in for Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who are currently on summer break.

Although viewers are excited about the pairing, many are calling for the two to become permanent presenters.

One person commented: “Can’t we just get Craig and Josie, Allison and Dermot to host #thismorning permanently?

Next week, however, Josie will be joined by Rylan Clark as the ITV show causes turmoil among the presenting duo.
