One of the guests recorded a video of the counterfeit money and posted it on TikTok, where it went viral.

The video shared by @khalifa_muhammad_sanusi shows the couple’s face on a fake N500.

Man rejects wedding gift

A Nigerian who received a wedding gift from a friend said the amount was too small.

The story was narrated by Olajide Obe, who said his friend converted the money into pounds and found it was £25.

After Olajide told the story on X, someone else asked for the money to help a sick guy and he immediately transferred it.
