Nichols-LaRosa added to Brandeis women’s basketball team

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University women’s basketball team has Jessica Nichols-LaRosa as assistant coach for the 2024-25 season, head coach Julie Prichett was announced today.

“I am so excited to welcome Jessica to our coaching staff,” said Prichett. “She is hungry, humble and passionate about teaching basketball. She will be a great coach and mentor to our young women. In all of my conversations with the people she has worked with and for, it quickly became clear to me that she would be a perfect fit for the way we look to best support the student-athletes in our program both on and off the court. Jessica has a bright future ahead of her as a coach and we are happy to have her join the Judges family!”

Nichols-LaRosa is a graduate of Manhattanville College and earned her BA in 2019 and her MA in English in 2021. As a guard for the Valiants, she was a three-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll.

A native of Randolph, Massachusetts, Nichols-LaRosa spent two years coaching at her alma mater, serving as the team’s assistant coach in 2021-22 and head coach in 2022-23.

Nichols-LaRosa spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach at Dean College, helping the Bulldogs win the GNAC Institutional Sportsmanship Award for women’s basketball. She also began working with the MCW Starz AAU basketball club in 2021, coaching fourth- through eighth-grade students.
