The second season of Rings of Power has come to an epic, climactic conclusion, but there is still much more to tell about the story of The Lord of the Rings. Set in the Second Age, the series has so far focused on Sauron’s rise in Middle-earth, which comes to a dramatic conclusion at the end of the second season. Although the showrunners have been open about their plans for a total of five seasons of the fantasy epic, Prime Video has not yet officially renewed the show.
