    Episode 2 of Dandadan is set to take the craziness to a whole new level, diving headfirst into chaos where ghosts meet aliens and nothing is as it seems.

    Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura already find themselves in bizarre circumstances – a chance partnership born of their supernatural encounter.

    The anime started with Momo arguing with her boyfriend, which eventually led to their breakup. The separation bothered her for the rest of her school years until she noticed Ken, who was being bullied in class.

    After a brief encounter, Ken approached Momo and discussed extraterrestrial topics, particularly UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena).

    Momo took her frustration out on Ken, but later apologized and explained that while she didn’t believe in aliens, she did believe in ghosts. This revelation made Ken laugh and reject the existence of ghosts. The two then began to argue even more violently.

    Finally, they made a bet: the loser would become the other’s henchman. Ken vowed to prove the existence of a real UAP, while Momo wanted to show him a real ghost. Whoever succeeded first would win.

    Ken sent Momo to the abandoned Nagi Hospital, claiming it was a haven for UFOs. He believed that if she went to the roof and called for a UFO, she would be kidnapped.

    Meanwhile, Ken went to an abandoned tunnel known as a spiritual hotspot.

    Momo revealed that although she had never seen a ghost, she had been raised to be wary of them because her grandmother was a spirit medium. She grew up under the care of her grandmother and was forced to perform strange rituals from a young age.

    These rituals caused the other children at school, including the boy she liked, to make fun of her. This caused a rift between Momo and her grandmother. However, at some point she realized that she wasn’t rejecting her grandmother – she was just annoyed by the way the other children made fun of her family.

    While this was happening, Ken encountered a ghost granny in the tunnel, which terrified him and caused him to run for the exit. Momo, who was still in contact with him, explained that he couldn’t lose the race against Grandma or he would be cursed.

    Suddenly she lost contact with Ken. As she tried to leave the hospital, she encountered three mysterious figures. Momo was then abducted from the planet Serpo by aliens called the Serpoians.

    The Serpoians were an all-male race and wanted to conduct tests on Momo to aid their planet’s reproduction.

    Before the Serpoians could begin their experiments, Ken, who had lost the race against the Ghost Granny and was cursed, was suddenly teleported to where Momo was.

    Ken revealed that he had no friends as a child and always hoped that aliens would befriend him. He had been bullied relentlessly, but only Momo had stood up for him, making him feel a deep need to protect her. Unfortunately, the Serpoians were too powerful and quickly overwhelmed him.

    Momo then remembered her argument with her grandmother, who had once explained that the rituals she performed were to ward off all negative forces. This memory awakened her psychic powers.

    Using her newfound abilities, Momo crashed the Serpoians’ UFO spacecraft. However, just as their encounter seemed to be coming to an end, the Ghost Granny appeared again and declared that her curse on Ken would not be lifted until they defeated her in the tunnel.
