DDG announced to his followers that he and Halle Bailey have decided to separate. Although Bailey didn’t announce the same news, fans’ thoughts began to pour in about the breakup, with some skeptical and others applauding the breakup.

The “Moonwalking In Calabasas” rapper wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday (October 3) with a PSA: “After much thought and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision wasn’t easy, but we believe it is the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we spent together and the love we shared.”

He continued: “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and love each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we value the bond we have built and the beautiful moments we have shared.” The 26-year-old urged fans to offer “understanding and support.” , as they “manage this transition.”

He concluded: “Thank you for your love and encouragement.”

DDG, who is known for pulling pranks online, is suspected of making jokes about his breakup with Halle, as the two just welcomed a son, Halo, in 2023.

One person went to X to predict that DDG would come out later and admitted that it was a joke.

Although it was suspected that the couple had split in April, they were recently spotted at Usher’s Past Present Future Tour concert in Los Angeles. At the show, the R&B crooner attempted to feed The Little Mermaid Star cherries, to which DDG took them from him to finish the steamy gesture.

DDG reposted the clip to his account with the caption, “Usher tried to cherry-pick Halle in front of me.” He added three laughing emojis.
