Once again we were all thrilled. Jax Taylor’s divorce filing appeared to claim that he and Brittany Cartwright were never legally married. Representatives said Taylor made a mistake somewhere on the forms. Now Cartwright confirms the error. Because putting a pen to paperwork can be really difficult for some people, okay?

October 2nd, 7:46 p.m.: In new court documents obtained from Page SixVanderpump Rules And The valley Star Jax Taylor claims he and Brittany Cartwright were never legally married. That’s right, an entire season of television plus a murder mystery dinner party at the Kentucky Castle, all for free! In the filing, Taylor also gave Cartwright full custody of her son Cruz. According to the documents, the couple’s only shared asset is their home (and filming location) in Valley Village.

Cartwright was the first to announce the couple’s split in February of this year. At the time, Taylor stressed that the couple would not divorce. What may be true? If they were technically never married. This is the second one VPR Marriage that turned out not to be legal. On the same season that Jax and Brittany got married, Tom Schwartz claimed he neglected to file his marriage license with Katie Maloney when they married in 2016. It seems like what we see on reality TV isn’t quite the whole truth. What different is a lie? Is Lance Bass even ordained?

Which errors? The representative declined to provide further details other than to say that Cruz’s custody is a “long-resolved” matter.

October 3rd: Cartwright made it clear: Taylor has no idea what he’s doing, at least not when it comes to checking boxes on a piece of paper. “We are legally married,” she wrote in a comment E! Newsis Instagram. “I suspect the paperwork is difficult for some people. 🫣.” Wedding officiant Lance Bass also confirmed his pastor status in his response to Cartwright, stating that he had “signed the papers for the couple.” While we’re at it, can someone check the paperwork for Jax’s bar?
