New MCU rumors tease Henry Cavill’s future and who Marvel Studios has cast as Amadeus Cho

Marvel Studios’ 2024 offerings are slowing down as we’re almost halfway there Agatha all the timealthough next year is expected to be a busy one for the MCU.

The Fantastic Four: Getting Started, lightning*, Daredevil: RebornAnd Marvel Zombies are among the films and television shows on the way and the next episode in the avenger Franchise, End of the worldwill not be too far behind in May 2026.

It’s an exciting time and we now have a few fun rumors to share with you.

The first comes from @MyTimeToShineH; Apparently, Henry Cavill isn’t done with the MCU yet after his cameo as the Wolverine variant – the Cavillrine Deadpool and Wolverine. Whether that means he’ll be back in this role or another remains to be seen.

The Scooper also shared a well-known rumor about Marvel Studios Black Adam Star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to play Apocalypse, a claim that is honestly still hard to believe.

Our next rumor comes from the slightly more reliable Daniel Richtman. He was just brought to X to reveal this Ghostbusters: Afterlife And Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Star Logan Kim has been cast as Amadeus Cho in the MCU.

He doesn’t specify when or where we’ll see Kim as Cho, although it’s worth noting that the character is confirmed to appear in Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. With that in mind, this may be more of a voiceover role than a live-action role.

If it ends up being the latter, we would bet on it Captain America: Brave New World.

In the comics, Amadeus Cho was introduced as the “seventh smartest person in the world” and became an important ally to heroes like Hulk, Thor, and Hercules. After befriending the Hulk, Cho eventually absorbs some of his powers and becomes the “Totally Awesome Hulk”.

Earlier this year Deadpool and Wolverine Director Shawn Levy addressed perhaps the threequel’s biggest cameo by revealing how Cavill ended up playing a variant of Wolverine in the film.

“If we want to talk about him, we have to call him by his actual name, the cavillerine that Ryan coined. I knew there was no denying it as soon as Ryan invented the term. He immediately said “yes.” because he knew it would be subversive and playful, also with a lot of affection for him and his work and playing on his legacy as a DC hero now that he’s appearing as a variant of a Marvel hero.

As always, feel free to let us know your thoughts on these rumors in the comments section below.
