Halle Bailey and Darryl Dwayne “DDG” Grandberry Jr. have called it quits less than a year after giving birth to their first child.

“After much thought and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” the 26-year-old YouTuber and rapper wrote in his Instagram story on Thursday.

“This decision was not easy, but we believe it is the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we spent together and the love we shared.”

“Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and love each other,” he continued.

“As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we value the bond we have built and the beautiful moments we have shared.”

DDG also asked fans for their “understanding and support” as they navigate the “transition.”

“Thank you for the love and encouragement,” he added.

Bailey, 24, has not spoken publicly about her split from DDG. Page Six has reached out to her rep for comment.

The Little Mermaid star welcomed her son Halo to DDG in December 2023 after keeping her pregnancy a secret from the public.

The two appeared to be in great spirits as they took a family vacation to Italy in July. The now-former couple even shared the first photos of Halo’s face during the scenic trip.

However, there were breakup rumors at the beginning of the year, which Bailey’s rep immediately denied.

The two first connected in January 2022 when they were spotted at an Usher concert in Las Vegas.

They made their red carpet debut at the BET Awards in June 2022.

Later that summer, the Color Purple actress confirmed to Essence that she was “for sure” in love with her boyfriend.

In the same interview, she revealed that DDG is a YouTuber she has admired for a long time.

“He just happened to send me a message and the rest is history,” she gushed.
