Kirk Cousins of the Falcons and Baker Mayfield of the Buccaneers put their rivalry aside to help those affected by Hurricane Helene

They may be division rivals set to face off in Week 5 on “Thursday Night Football,” but Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield have put their NFL differences aside to become one to help common cause.

Cousins and Mayfield announced that they will each donate $50,000 to Team Rubicon to help victims of Hurricane Helene, which affected their respective fan bases in the southeastern United States.

“After Hurricane Helene, countless lives across the southeastern United States were profoundly impacted. The destruction was severe and many families struggled to find shelter and essentials,” Mayfield said in a video posted by Team Rubicon on X Veteran-run humanitarian organization that helps communities during disasters and crises.
