The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on October 29 to discuss proposed improvements to the Short Pump area transportation network. The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Wingate by Wyndham-Short Pump, 13991 North Gayton Road.

The proposed improvement project includes portions of I-64, I-295, Route 288 and US 250 in Henrico and Goochland counties. VDOT is conducting the study on behalf of Henrico County and in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.

The public hearing will be held in an open-door format and will provide participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the projects with VDOT and project staff. The environmental assessment and supporting documents will be available for review at the meeting and online, as well as at the VDOT Richmond District Office, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights.

VDOT is accepting public comments on the EA until November 8th. These may be submitted in person at the meeting, via an online comment form, by email to [email protected], or by mail to Phillip Frazer, VDOT. 523 North Washington Highway, Ashland VA 23005.

Anyone requiring special assistance attending the meeting may contact (804) 524-6091, (800)367-7623 or TDD/TTY 711.
