Yellow Answers: Revealed and Explained

This category made sense to me, but wasn’t the first one I got. Some of the words between this category and the green category can today give the impression that they overlap, or at least look similar enough at first glance to fool less cautious players. DENT and DING are perhaps the most obvious, while DIMPLE may not immediately grab your attention and DIVOT makes sense to me but may not to everyone as it is a more unusual word. All of these things are intrusions on a surfacewhich is why they are summarized here.

Green Answers: Revealed and Explained

This category confused me for a while. I could see that DOLLOP, DASH and DROP all meant almost the same thingbut I either clicked wrongly or missed the entire word DAB later. I’m not sure what I used instead as the rest of the words wouldn’t have made sense, but at least I did it. I also originally put DASH in the next category because that is also the name of a Disney character, so there were a few factors that contributed to the difficulty.

Blue Answers: Revealed and Explained

This caught my attention because of the previous category when I saw DASH, DORY and DAISY and thought I had the right idea. Turns out I did, but I had the wrong name. I originally added DALE, which was one of my aunt’s favorites, but it took me a moment to figure out it was DOC instead of DASH. Luckily it wasn’t a moment that solved the puzzle and I made the right substitution. Somehow I managed to figure out this category first, but proper names are often like that easier to eliminate than other words.

Purple Answers: Revealed and Explained

Often the hardest thing to do is figure out a category name, but this was last on my list. DINNER and DUE are probably the biggest clues For those trying to solve this category sooner as they are probably the most used. DELIVERY isn’t far behind, but DREAM is heard a little less often. This type of category always seems obvious to me in retrospect, but when searching for words with similar meanings, they are difficult to recognize in advance.
