Mets at Brewers Game 3 Odds, Predictions, How to Watch: Milwaukee was the favorite in the deciding game

The Wild Card series are best-of-three sprints that last no longer than 48 hours. Three of the four Wild Card series ended in two-game rounds on Wednesday and only the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets make it to a decisive third game on Thursday.

The Brewers are the favorites at home with surprisingly outstanding rookie Tobias Myers on the mound. Myers has one heck of a history, pitching in the minors for seven seasons before breaking out this season, posting a 3.00 ERA in 138 innings.

At the start of the season, Brewers fans wouldn’t have believed Myers would play in a crucial playoff game, and it’s even less likely they would feel comfortable with him in that spot. Two years ago, Myers was 1-15 with a 7.82 ERA in Triple A.

While Myers is in his sixth organization, opposing starter Jose Quintana also knows this life. The Mets are the 35-year-old Quintana’s seventh MLB team and fifth in the last four seasons. The left-hander has a 3.86 ERA in five postseason appearances.

The winner of Milwaukee on Thursday will be the winners of this round along with the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres. The Tigers and Royals received a road win, meaning the AL Central has three of the four remaining teams in the American League playoffs.

MLB game predictions from THE BAT X

You’ll see details about each MLB matchup followed by lots of numbers (which are updated throughout the day) in the tables below:

  • “money line” shows the odds of each team on BetMGM.
  • “Implied profit %” is the chance a team has of winning based on these BetMGM odds.
  • “THE BAT X wins %” is a team’s chance of winning based on EV Analytics predictions.
  • “Cash Line” Here’s how THE BAT X would rate each team’s odds.
  • “Value” is the percentage difference between the odds and our forecasts.

The higher the value percentage, the better – which you can easily see by the color coding from red (poor selection) to green (good selection).

Note: On mobile devices, you may need to scroll to view the color-coded Value column at the far right of the first set of tables.

Another note: If you see old data or the tables don’t appear, you may need to “hard refresh” this page or an ad blocker or other software is blocking the tables from loading.
