Season 7 of Love Is Blind brings a new group of couples into the mix.

After falling in love sight unseen, seven Washington, DC couples got engaged on camera, but only six were chosen for a romantic getaway.

Brittany and Leo

After dating the wrong people, 33-year-old beautician Brittany was ready to meet Mr. Right. In a confessional interview, she described herself as a future “trophy wife” with a past of dating athletes and celebrities.

When Brittany started talking to Leo, a 31-year-old art dealer, the chemistry was right. In a confessional interview, Leo revealed that he feared women would date him because of his family money. Still, he brought his fortune to Brittany and continued to build a connection. At the same time, Leo agreed with Hannah and seemed completely focused on her.

When Hannah decided to be with Nick, Brittany seemed to be Leo’s second option. They smoothed things over and got engaged. However, the production did not invite them on a trip to Mexico. An update card stated that the duo called off their engagement a few weeks later.

Hannah and Nick

Hannah, a 27-year-old who works in medical device sales, fell in love with Nick, a 29-year-old who works in real estate, but the road to engagement was complicated.

Hannah feared that Nick would talk too well, so she broke up with him to continue her relationship with Leo.

Then she changed her mind and decided to try again with Nick. Their relationship continued to develop and Nick soon proposed marriage. Hannah seemed discouraged by Nick’s physical appearance when they first met.

“I had this person that I had in mind. And no matter what happens, you will build that person. So when you see them and they don’t exactly resemble that person, it’s just shocking and it’s different,” she told TODAY.com. “You just have to match your voice to your face. So there was a lot of confusion and shock and I had to figure it out.”

Monica and Stephen

When Monica, a 37-year-old sales manager, started talking to Stephen, a 34-year-old electrician, sparks flew through the air. Speaking about the “butterflies” he gave her, Monica said Stephen was “incredibly sweet”.

While proposing to Monica, Stephen said he found “real” love with her. Before accepting his proposal, Monica gave her own reasons for loving Stephen, saying he made her feel “so safe and so seen.”

Taylor and Garrett

Taylor, a 30-year-old clean energy policy consultant, had great chemistry with Garrett, a 33-year-old quantum physicist in the dating pods.

When the topic of ethnicity came up on one of their dates, Garrett called Taylor “calculated” for choosing not to reveal her ethnic background. She said she wanted someone to fall in love with her based on her personality and not her looks. They decided to take a chance on their relationship and got engaged.

Ashley and Tyler

Ashley, a 32-year-old marketing executive, and Tyler, a 34-year-old account executive, were on the same page when they started chatting in the dating pods. They found common ground in their religious beliefs and were confident early on that they would come together in the end.

Ashley described Tyler as “sincere” and “consistent”; he told her he had the “deepest connection” with her. While celebrating Tyler’s birthday on the dating pods, Ashley wrote him a romantic letter that brought tears to his eyes. Afterwards, Tyler got down on one knee and proposed.

Marissa and Ramses

Marissa, a 32-year-old lawyer, was initially torn between two guys: Ramses and Bohdan. She eventually became engaged to Ramses, a 35-year-old program officer at a nonprofit justice reform organization.

After touching on some tough topics on the dating pods, including politics and Ramses’ first marriage, Marissa was confident in their commitment. Marissa loved Ramses’ sensitivity and his willingness to be a true partner in marriage and parenting. He now loved her professional ambition coupled with her “joy” and “warmth”.

Alexandra and Tim

Alexandra, a 33-year-old producer, found a connection with Tim, a 33-year-old web content strategist, in the dating pods. After telling Alexandra about the deaths of his two sisters, Tim felt closer to her and saw her as a safe place. Meanwhile, Tim impressed Alexandra with his vulnerability.

Before he proposed to her, Tim read Alexandra a letter he had written to her father asking for his permission to marry her. As she listened, she became emotional and playfully accepted his proposal, saying “Duh” when he asked if she would marry him.
