Champions League standings after matchday 2

Only seven teams, including Juventus, have taken six points from their first two Champions League games, while Milan are among the teams with two defeats and still zero points.

Matchday two of the Champions League ended on Wednesday with Juventus and Atalanta beating RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively, and Bologna losing to Liverpool at Anfield.

On Tuesday, Inter beat Crvena Zvezda 4-0 at San Siro, while Milan lost 1-0 to defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.

After the first two rounds, Juventus is one of the top teams in the Champions League table.

Only Borussia Dortmund, Brest, Benfica, Bayer, Liverpool and Aston Villa have achieved the same. The Bianconeri would currently qualify for the round of 16, but there are still six games left.

Inter and Atalanta each have four points and are currently in the play-off places in the knockout phase. Simone Inzaghi’s men have the same points and goal difference as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, their opponents in Round 1.

Bologna and Milan, on the other hand, are in the bottom part of the table. The Rossoblu have a point and Milan have none after two consecutive defeats, but both teams still have plenty of time to climb the table.
