NEW DELHI: Indian-American politician Vivek Ramaswamy expressed his intention to run for governor of Ohio in a recent podcast after polls showed he was likely to win the race. The former Republican presidential candidate hinted that he would “consider” it, but at the same time made it clear that this is not a final path he has chosen for himself – at least for now.
“That’s the number one thing that people across the state are literally going to ask me to do… And would I think about it? Yes, I would think about it,” said Vivek Ramaswamy, adding, “But I definitely do.” on this path? I’m not definitely on a particular path right now.”

“We will allow the election to proceed,” he added.
However, this is not the first time that Vivek Ramasamy has expressed his intention to run for the governorship. In early September, the former Republican presidential candidate expressed similar views on which he planned to run Governor of Ohio while hosting a town hall where he addressed concerns about the refugee crisis.
When asked if he would consider running for governor of Ohio, he had quipped: “I’m a little more inclined than I was 10 seconds ago.”
In July, Ramaswamy considered the possibility of filling the post Seat in the US Senate by Senator JD Vance if he is elected vice president in November.
“To be honest, if I were asked to serve, I would definitely consider it, but I would also like to have a serious conversation with President Trump about how I could impact the country in other ways,” he said Ramaswamy said.
