ISLE OF PALMS, SC (WCBD) – The Isle of Palms Police Department will host its award-winning National Night Out event on October 1, 2024 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center, 24 28th Avenue.

The event will feature emergency vehicles on display, information boards, free food, handouts and prizes. Several organizations and community partners will also be on site to meet residents and answer questions.

National Night Out aims to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community and promote a sense of unity.

“We are pleased to invite our community to join us for National Night Out 2024 on Tuesday,” said Police Chief Kevin Cornett. “Building a strong relationship between the Isle of Palms Police Department and the community we serve is critical to building trust and ensuring public safety,” Cornett said.

Millions of people in the United States and abroad participate in this annual event that promotes positive interactions between neighbors and police.
