UEFA Champions League Predictions: Matchday 10/1

The 2024-25 UEFA Champions League resumes on October 1 with Arsenal, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen in action. SI Soccer gives our predictions for every game.

Prediction: RB Salzburg – Brest 1-2

Brest won the opening game against SK Sturm Graz, while Salzburg lost out to Sparta Praha. The Ligue 1 side claims another win this week.

Prediction: VfB Stuttgart 2-1 Sparta Prague

In the last game, Stuttgart almost caused a big surprise against Real Madrid. The team got their first three points with a home win against Sparta Prague, who dominated RB Salzburg in their last game.

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 3:2 Celtic

Dortmund vs. Celtic has what it takes to be a shootout. The home team makes it in front of the yellow wall.

Prediction: PSV 2-2 Sporting

Sporting earned a hard-fought draw at PSV after winning their opening game. PSV has to collect points somehow after the crushing opening defeat against Juventus.

Prediction: Slovan Bratislava 0-3 Manchester City

No Rodri or Kevin De Bruyne should matter as Man City take all three points.

Prediction: Barcelona – Young Boys 3-0

Midfielder Frenkie de Jong is available for selection, with Hansi Flick’s Barcelona picking up a much-needed three points after their opening game defeat to Monaco.

Prediction: Leverkusen – AC Milan 3:2

On paper, this could be the best game of the day. Christian Pulisic is currently keen on AC Milan and Leverkusen got off to a hot start in the competition by dismantling Feyenoord. Despite AC Milan’s recent form, Xabi Alonso’s team takes home victory.

Prediction: Inter 3–0 Crvena zvezda

The reigning Serie A champions got their first win in the league phase without any major problems.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 PSG

Probably the most important game of the week: Luis Enrique’s team travels to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal. Ousmane Dembélé was left out of the traveling squad by the PSG coach because of problems with his obligations to the team. PSG won their opening game while Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by Europa League champions Atalanta.

Three points are a must here for Arsenal, who face another tough test in the Champions League.
