Start time between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner and how to watch the China Open final

Carlos Alcaraz faces Jannik Sinner in a blockbuster China Open final in Beijing.

The two young rivals shared the Grand Slam titles this season, with Sinner winning his first on the hard courts of the Australian Open and US Open and Alcaraz taking the other spots by winning the French Open and Wimbledon.

Now, after five consecutive meetings in the semi-finals, Alcaraz (21) and Sinner (23) face each other in a final for the first time in two years. The Spaniard has won both matches this season, including a five-set victory in the French Open semifinals.

But Sinner defeated Alcaraz on his way to victory at the China Open last season, and the Italian has been the best player in the world since the turn of the year. The world No. 1 won the US Open last month amid his ongoing anti-doping controversy.

Sinner has rattled off 15 straight victories, while Alcaraz has rattled off eight straight victories since his loss in the second round of the US Open. Alcaraz ended Sinner’s 19-game winning streak in the Indian Wells semifinals earlier this season.

Alcaraz put in a brilliant performance, beating Daniil Medvedev in straight sets to reach his first China Open final before Sinner fended off the challenge of home favorite Bu Yunchaokete 6-3, 7-6.
