Bet365 sets up its US headquarters in Denver and hires 1,000 employees

Global online sports betting company bet365 has opened its new U.S. headquarters in Denver, Gov. Jared Polis and the Global Business Development Division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade announced Monday morning.

The U.K.-based company, which does not capitalize the first letter in its name, is focused on increasing brand awareness in the U.S. and is aiming to hire nearly 1,000 employees, according to a press release. They said they expect to hire more than 300 employees within the first year.

“The opening of our US headquarters in beautiful downtown Denver represents a turning point in bet365’s North American journey,” said a bet365 spokesperson. “The Mile High City and its thriving business community are the ideal location to begin the next chapter in our company’s future, and we are excited to create an industry-leading, innovative workplace in our new home.”

Positions at the new headquarters include customer service, commercial, software development, technology, marketing, legal, finance, facilities, human resources and recruiting.

Based on the announcement, the Colorado Economic Development Commission approved a performance-based job growth tax credit of over $14 million over eight years for the company. These incentives are contingent on bet365, referred to as Project Forge throughout the OEDIT review process, meeting job creation and salary requirements.

“We are pleased to welcome bet365 and nearly 1,000 jobs to Colorado and congratulate them on the grand opening of their new U.S. headquarters here,” Polis said.

“Bet365 will create nearly 1,000 new good-paying jobs and 300 this year, helping Coloradans earn a good living and support their families. We are confident they will quickly discover that our great state is the best place to live, work and do business.”
