Maybe absolutely nothing, But perhaps it was his song that set in motion the chain of events that led us to September 24th. We all miss Ragweed, like Koe and the girl. It’s likely that the Ragweed team will only benefit from Koe’s great success. But could it be more?

Early 2020 Our buddy Kasey James from The PlayList sat down for a chat with Red Dirt legend Cody Canada. The two covered a lot, including Canada’s stance on one of Texas’ brightest burning stars.

Koe Wetzel’s rise, his band’s swagger, and their undeniable popularity have drawn comparisons to Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Cody certainly sees that. “I don’t give a fuck, but I don’t give a fuck,” Cody says, his band did it, and Koe does it. “You guys act like you don’t care, but you really don’t… I support everything he does. I’m proud of him.”

“Everyone finally stopped asking me when the band was going to get back together, and then he came out with this damn song,” Canada says, laughing. “No, I like the song. It’s an honor.”
