If you’re unsuccessfully trying to access PlayStation Services this morning, you’re not alone. The PSN PlayStation is currently down and not working. Thousands complain about being left offline. The problems started overnight and are continuing this morning, as Sony’s server status page shows that key services are experiencing issues. At the moment, Account Management, Games and Social, PlayStation Video and PlayStation Store are all displayed in red, with PlayStation saying: “Some services are experiencing issues.”

Independent website DownDetector.uk, which tracks “when services fail or fail”, has also reported a rise in the number of people complaining that the PlayStation Network is not working properly. At its peak, around 3,500 complaints were received, making the situation a major problem.

There is currently no information about what is causing the Gremlins, but many PlayStation players have expressed their frustration on social media platforms.

A gamer named Blue posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) saying: “The Playstation network is down… what should I do now?”

While PSN fan Chance added: “I just finished a night shift going to the PlayStation servers that were down, I just wanted to play man.”

Another PlayStation user said it was time to switch to Nintendo, writing in a post: “If the PlayStation Network is down, it’s time to beat Mario on the Switch!”

As of December 2023, over 123 million monthly users are accessing the service, so it could be a long day for many who can’t play or log into their accounts right now.

Sony hasn’t responded yet about what’s causing the nightmare or when the issue will be fixed, but Express.co.uk will keep you updated.
