Michael Buble is no stranger to “The Voice.” The pop singer already acted as an advisor to Blake Shelton’s team in the third season. But now, more than a decade later, this is his first time coaching on the show. And it’s a role he doesn’t take lightly.

“I know this is a TV show and I know it’s a game and that each of us has a role, but I can tell you it’s not a game for any of us,” said Buble recently told Entertainment Weekly. “We talk about it off camera. We know that each of these people is their life, their destiny, their dream. And we know that we are a big part of this journey. And even if it is not the beginning or the end of their journey, we know that we are part of it and take this responsibility very seriously.”

With Buble now appearing to be the winning coach of Season 26, here’s a look at his team’s singers (so far).

Sofronio Vasquez

Sofronio Vasquez immediately caught the attention of all four coaches with his rendition of Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Goin’ Down.” Gwen Stefani called it a “Grammy performance,” while country legend Reba McEntire said the Filipino singer had “the total package.”

“I couldn’t push my button fast enough,” McEntire said, noting that she believed Vasquez could help her achieve two straight wins as the Voice coach. “Your soulfulness touched my heart.”

Although Snoop Dogg told Vasquez to “get in where you belong” and pursue more soul music with him as his coach, Vasquez ultimately had the greatest connection with Buble. The “Home” singer became emotional as he spoke about his love for the Filipino people and how proud he believed Vasquez would make them.

“I think you will help me win this competition,” he said.

Kiara Vega

Kiara Vega beat everyone except Stefani to her performance of Rocío Dúrcal’s “Amor Eterno.”

After the performance, McEntire, an Oklahoma native, joked that she didn’t understand a single word. But she also said that the language barrier ultimately doesn’t matter.

“I had to turn around because you sing so beautifully,” McEntire said. “It touched my heart. I still get the feeling, so thank you for that.”

Before choosing her coach, the 18-year-old singer from Tampa, Florida, shared that she had never sung on stage before and that this “Voice” audition was her “first big moment.”

She then decided to join Buble’s team. The pop singer, whose wife comes from Argentina, shares a love of Latin American music with Vega.

“This is the biggest surprise for me so far,” he told Vega after her performance. “Really, you just blew me away.”
