It’s raining occasionally tonight, heavy at times

RICHMOND, Va. – Click here for the latest flood and coastal flood warnings.

A flood warning is in effect for areas west of I-95. It will rain intermittently from this evening until tonight. There will be heavy rain at times and localized flooding will occur.

It will remain humid with lows in the 60s. Fog areas are possible.

Some rain is expected on Tuesday morning, but showers will become more isolated as the afternoon progresses. Highs will range from the mid/upper 60s in northwest VA to the low and mid 70s elsewhere.

A cold front will move through the region on Wednesday, with a passing shower possible.

In the second half of the week it will be mostly dry and a little less humid. Highs will be in the 70s to around 80s, and lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

Tropics: Isaac is located in the northeast Atlantic and is no longer a tropical system. Joyce is in the Central Atlantic and will dissipate.

Tropical Storm Kirk has formed in the eastern Atlantic. It is expected to become a major hurricane, but will move northwest into the Central Atlantic and stay east of Bermuda.

Another tropical wave off the west coast of Africa is showing clear signs of development.

An extensive area of ​​low pressure over the western Caribbean is expected to extend into the Gulf of Mexico and potentially develop into a tropical depression by midweek.
