Titans QB Will Levis (shoulder) leaves the MNF game against the Dolphins

MIAMI – Titans starting quarterback Will Levis suffered a right shoulder injury while diving for a first down in the first quarter of Tennessee’s “Monday Night Football” game against the Miami Dolphins.

Levis struggled for the first down, landing awkwardly on his shoulder as he plummeted toward the marker. He went straight to the medical tent as the Titans special forces entered the field to stab.

Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph came on offense on the Titans’ next series with 4:14 remaining in the first quarter. He led Tennessee on three scoring drives, leading to a 9-6 halftime score.

The Titans said it was questionable whether Levis would return.

“If he can play, he’ll go,” coach Brian Callahan said during a halftime interview.

Levis tried to throw on the sideline but grimaced.

Rudolph remained at quarterback as the Tennessee offense took the field for its first series of the second half. He stayed in the game as the Titans increased their lead.

Before he was injured, Levis threw his sixth interception of the season, tying him with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson for the most interceptions in the NFL. Levis’ nine turnovers (six interceptions, three fumbles) are also a league high.
