The price of using your favorite Disney media will soon increase.

Disney is no stranger to price increases, which is why the announcement explains this It wasn’t a big surprise that Disney+ and other Disney-owned streaming services would soon increase subscription costs. We’ve got the details on everything you need to know and when you can expect the changes.

From October 17, 2024, Subscription costs for Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ are rising. While most subscription plans will see a price increase, the Disney+/Hulu bundles and the Disney+/Hulu/Max bundle will remain unchanged.

The NEW monthly pricing of the plans are as follows:

• Disney+ Basic (With advertising) — $9.99/month (was: $7.99)
• Disney+ Premium (No advertising) — $15.99/month (was: $13.99)
• Hulu (With advertising) — $9.99/month (was: $7.99)
• Hulu (Without advertising) — $18.99/month (was: $17.99)
• ESPN+ — $11.99/month (was: $10.99)
• Disney Bundle Trio Basic (With advertising) — $16.99/month (was: $14.99)
• Disney Bundle Trio Premium (Without advertising) — $26.99/month (was: $24.99)
• Hulu (With advertising) + Live TV, Disney+ (With advertising) and ESPN+ (With advertising) — $82.99/month (was: $76.99)
• Hulu (Without advertising) + Live TV, Disney+ (No advertising) and ESPN+ (With advertising) — $95.99/month (was: $89.99)
• Hulu (With advertising) + Live TV, Disney+ (No advertising) and ESPN+ (With advertising) — $87.99/month (was: $81.99)
• Live TV only — $81.99/month (was: $75.99)

The Hulu (with ads) + Live TV, Disney+ (no ads) and ESPN+ (with ads) plans can no longer be purchased or changed But existing subscribers can keep their plan as long as they don’t cancel or change it.

In general, most of them Price increases range from $1 to $2 per month. However, the plans include Hulu Live TV is up $6 each.

Some plans can also be purchased annually including Disney+ (Without advertising) for $159.99 yearly, Hulu (With advertising) for $99.99 annually, and ESPN+ for $119.99 yearly.

Additionally, Disney announced Additional fees and policies apply for Disney+. On September 25, 2024, Disney revealed new details about it paid sharing program.

To combat password sharing in the US, Disney+ subscriptions are limited to people and devices within the primary household. If people outside of their primary residence want to use the Disney+ account, They must sign up and pay for their own subscription or be added to the account as an additional member for an additional monthly fee.

The Disney+ subscription household is defined as “a collection of devices connected to your primary residence and used by the people living there.”

To watch Disney+ on devices when you’re away from the household, Disney explained:

“If you are traveling and see the message “This TV does not appear to be part of the household for this account,” you can mark yourself as “I AM AWAY FROM HOME” or select “UPDATE HOUSEHOLD” when you select “UPDATE HOUSEHOLD.” . I recently moved and need to reset the household location for your Disney+ subscription. This selection requires a one-time passcode sent to the email address associated with the account.”

Account holders who want to add someone outside of their household to their Disney+ subscription may pay an additional fee $6.99 per month per additional member for Disney+ Basic subscription or $9.99 per month per additional member for the Disney+ Premium subscription.

What is remarkable is Only one additional membership spot is available per account and Extra Members are not available to Disney Bundle subscribers or to subscribers billed through Disney Partners.

An alternative to the Extra Member add-on is the option to do so Transfer profiles to new Disney+ subscriptions for people leaving the household account. Profiles of minors and profiles set to Junior mode cannot be transferred.

These functions and capabilities are now available in the USA, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Europe and Asia Pacific.
