Coral Gables celebrates Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish New Year – with Jewish pride, community and unity

Jews will celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year – this year it begins at sunset on Wednesday, October 2nd and ends after dark on Friday, October 4th – using the public celebration of the holiday to promote pride and To inspire self-confidence and to defend ourselves against fear of increasing anti-Semitism. “This year we expect a high number of visitors,” said Rabbi Avraham Stolik, director of Chabad of Coral Gables. “With all the talk about anti-Semitism in the press, people in our community tell me that they plan to attend synagogue services to take action and show that the Jewish people are determined and strong; and to pray for a good year.”
