Monday drizzle followed by fog overnight | September 30, 2024 – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Areas of fog are possible over the next few mornings.

This morning:

This morning we’re dealing with mostly cloudy skies, some scattered drizzle and some patchy fog across the area. Meanwhile, temperatures will remain steady into the mid and upper 60s across much of the state.

Monday:

We’re still waiting for Helene’s remains to mix. This low pressure system will bring more cloud cover, some scattered showers at times throughout the area, and light winds. High temperatures this afternoon will climb into the mid 70s.

Monday evening:

The remnants of Helene will eventually move east of our area, finally reducing the chance of rain. Look for mostly cloudy skies with areas of fog forming overnight. Lows fell to the lows into the mid-60s.

Tuesday:

Some dense fog is possible Tuesday morning. Most of the day appears to be dry with partly to mostly cloudy skies. A cold front moving through the state through the afternoon could bring a few brief showers.

The maximum temperature is around 80°.

Wednesday:

Temperatures will be much cooler here as we leave the cold front behind us on Tuesday. Lows will dip into the mid 40s Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and highs won’t reach into the lower 70s as we head into Wednesday afternoon.

7 day forecast:

The rest of the work week looks seasonal and quiet. High temperatures will climb back into the upper 70s on Thursday and Friday. Highs will remain in the mid-70s over the weekend, with a slight chance of showers on Sunday.

The 8- to 14-day outlook is for below-average precipitation and above-average temperatures as we approach the middle of the month.
