Simeone, along with team captain Koke, approached the area of ​​the stands where the problems originated and urged fans to remain calm.

Meanwhile, there was another incident in the stands where security forces kicked out a Brazilian supporter who had tried to confront an Atlético fan. This person made racist comments and imitated monkey noises, which further escalated tensions in the stadium.

To restore order, Atletico central defender Jose Maria Gimenez, along with Koke and Simeone, took it upon themselves to address the unruly fans directly.

They demanded that followers stop throwing objects and behave responsibly. Simeone, standing just meters away from fans, urged them to remain calm while Gimenez spoke more directly and urged the crowd to respect the game.

Before he walked back, Gimenez delivered a clear message to the crowd: “Not in our house.”
