Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Trey Palmer is out with a concussion against the Eagles

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were thin at wide receiver before Sunday’s game against the Eagles, and now they’re even thinner.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out strong in the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles, thanks in part to a Trey Palmer touchdown. Palmer caught a nice pass from Baker Mayfield to give the Buccaneers a 14-0 lead. Afterwards, Palmer returned to the game but was hit at some point and was evaluated for a concussion.

As it turned out, he had a concussion and will therefore be out for the rest of the game.

In his place, the Bucs have wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Kameron Johnson recovering from an ankle injury, so there are options to replace him. WR3 Jalen McMillan is also dealing with a hamstring injury, leaving Tampa Bay a little thin at WR depth.

The Buccaneers are 24-0 at the time of writing, so his services aren’t essential, but his touchdown contributed and he will need to be replaced later in the game.
