The standard doesn’t change as the Bills prepare for their next matchup. Their job will be to slow down two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson and All-Pro running back Derrick Henry as they take on the Ravens on the primetime stage.

“(He is) one of the most dynamic players to ever play the game, not just quarterback,” Miller said of Jackson. “You can’t even pigeonhole him as a quarterback. He’s bigger than that…both guys present unique challenges.”

“Since our new players playing this year have never played against Lamar, it will be an adjustment for them,” McDermott said. “And then I just try to teach them to understand the techniques you have to use and how you have to be on point. You’ll never stop a player like that… you just hope you can win more than you lose.” Conditions of the pieces.

As the coaching staff prepares to prepare young and new players for two dynamic threats, they are proud of their preparation.

“I think that’s probably our strongest point, the preparation process, not forgetting who we are,” Addae said. “…I think Bobby and Coach McDermott both do a good job of compartmentalizing the way we’re being attacked and figuring out what we’re good at that can fit with that.”

Staying true to their roots – playing smart, fast and physical – gives the defense the confidence it needs against any opponent.

“It’s about what we do and what we do well,” Ingram said. “So when we go out there, it’s not the first time we’ve done it… we’ve turned all kinds of heads with our great offense… it gives us all the confidence in the world to just go out there and play at a high level. “That’s what we do.”

McDermott, Babich and their defense full of backup players will look to keep their identities at the forefront when they face a talented Ravens team on Sunday.

While every roster is different, Buffalo’s defense has done a great job limiting Jackson in previous matchups. The QB is 1-2 including the playoffs against the Bills as a starter. Jackson threw three interceptions and had a passer rating of under 65 in those losses.
