Aided by a 47-yard pass interference penalty, the Commanders scored 1 minute, 8 seconds into the second half.

Daniels ran for a 9-yard touchdown set up by the penalty, which put the ball at the Cardinals’ 9.

The Commanders have now scored 24 unanswered points.

Result: Commanders 24, Cardinals 7 (13:52 Q3)

The Arizona Cardinals scored the first points of the game, but since then almost everything went the Commanders’ way.

QB Kyler Murray was 3-for-3 on the first drive, but he’s just 6-for-10 since then. He was sacked twice for 13 yards. The Cardinals are just 1 for 6 on third down and just 1 for 2 on fourth down.

Late in the first half, Arizona had the ball and was hoping to at least score a field goal. However, the Cardinals didn’t just turn the ball over on downs as they failed to convert on fourth-and-1. Murray was sacked for a loss of 7.

These yards helped the Commanders position themselves for a field goal.

Washington QB Jayden Daniels is 11 of 13 for 96 yards with an interception.

The Commanders are 5 of 6 on third down conversion attempts. They have outscored the Cardinals 220-122.

Result: Commanders 17, Cardinals 7 (halftime)

Arizona Wildcats basketball coach Tommy Lloyd was in attendance at the Arizona Cardinals game on Sunday.

Garrett Williams intercepted Washington QB Jayden Daniels’ pass intended for Terry McLaurin.

At that point, the Commanders were driving on the Cardinals’ side at the 50. Williams jumped to grab the ball at the 18.

The loss of possession was Washington’s first of the season.

Nothing came of the possession for the Cardinals as they went three-and-out.

Result: Commanders 14, Cardinals 7 (4:35 Q2)

Jeremy McNichols rushed for a touchdown, a seemingly odd description for a 27-yard run. But that’s what made Nichols throw potential tacklers out of the way.

It was his second carry of the game.

The Commanders covered 93 yards on 13 plays to take the lead.

Result: Commanders 14, Cardinals 7 (10:18 Q2)

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is 5 of 7 for 36 yards and a touchdown. He led the Cardinals on a touchdown drive on their first possession.

James Conner has seven carries for 44 yards – more than double his production in the entire game last week against the Lions.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has three catches for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Washington QB Jayden Daniels is 5 of 5 for 43 yards. Brian Robinson Jr. had seven carries for 45 yards.

As quickly as the Cardinals scored, the Commanders responded.

It took Washington nine plays to cover 70 yards. The drive was capped by a 6-yard run by Brian Robinson Jr.

Result: Cardinals 7, Commanders 7

Just inches from the Washington 2, the Cardinals made the risky move of throwing the ball into the air. Another coach might have kicked the field goal or passed the ball.

The playcall paid off as Kyler Murray completed a 2-yard pass to Marvin Harrison Jr. for a touchdown. The point after that was good.

The drive began after a 39-yard return by DJ Dallas to open the game. The Cardinals used nine plays to gain 55 yards.

Result: Cardinals 7, Commanders 0 (9:54 Q1)

The Cardinals offense gets the first chance to attack.

Washington will provide the kickoff to start the game.

The game takes place on Sunday, September 29th at 1:05 p.m. MST, 4:05 p.m. ET.
