The Steelers offense receives bad news before the Colts game

The Indianapolis Colts have numerous injuries on their roster before the game against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. Especially defensive end Kwity Paye (quadriceps) and cornerback Kenny Moore II (hip). Given these setbacks, players like Dayo Odeyingbo, Laiatu Latu and Chris Lammons will be relied upon like never before to give Indy a chance to finish September 2-2.

But the Steelers are also struggling with injuries. Players like running back Jaylen Warren and linebacker Alex Highsmith will miss an important game for the Steelers. If Mike Tomlin can lead his troops to victory, they will finish September undefeated and atop the AFC North. But now the offensive line has bad news with starting guard Isaac Seumalo (pectoral). NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news on X.

Indianapolis is missing DeForest Buckner on defense, but has Grover Stewart and Raekwon Davis to counter the Steelers’ offense. With the news of Seumalo missing the contest, look for seventh-round replacement Spencer Anderson to get the start. This could create opportunities for Stewart and Davis to enjoy Najee Harris and Pittsburgh’s backfield.

Additionally, pass-rushing defensive tackles Taven Bryan and Adetomiwa Adebawore each missed a sack against the Chicago Bears, giving them an extra chance to repeat that performance against Justin Fields. While Pittsburgh is struggling when it comes to its offensive line, head coach Mike Tomlin’s ability to make something out of little/nothing cannot be overlooked.

The Colts and Anthony Richardson won last week but looked poor on offense and faced a minor-league Bears team on defense. Indianapolis will have to fight through the Steelers tomorrow afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium to get a win, as this game will likely be close until the fourth quarter reaches zero.
