Aaron Rodgers is criticized by Erin Andrews for the “personal” snub of Charissa Thompson on Thursday night

Aaron Rodgers delivered his best performance yet as a Jet on Thursday, but host Erin Andrews isn’t happy about his no-show on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football following Gang Green’s win over the Patriots.

While the quarterback spoke with Amazon sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung, he skipped appearing on the program’s postgame show with Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, Richard Sherman and Andrews’ close friend, host Charissa Thompson.

And with both Thompson and Andrews apparently considering Rodgers a friend, the latter criticized the Jets star for turning down Thompson and the show.

“I was looking forward to two of my really good friends having fun,” she said of Awful Anncreasing on her “Calm Down” podcast with Thompson. “I didn’t like it.”

Andrews continued: “I get really sensitive when our guys… it’s not that they don’t take the time – I joked to Tom Brady about it: ‘Remember that game where you threw for 400 yards.’ and ran right past me.” After the game, I applied lip gloss again. Are you crazy?’ It’s just rude.

“Or now Aaron, when I talk to you, ‘How dare you not get on that desk with Charissa?’ It actually gets personal.’

Rodgers often had a strained relationship with the media during his time in the NFL.

After suggesting earlier this year that Jimmy Kimmel might be named in court documents as one of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates, he took aim at the media.

“That’s the media’s game plan and that’s what they do,” he said on The Pat McAfee Show. “They’re trying to cancel, you know? And it’s not just me.’

He later agreed with Joe Rogan that his comments about Kimmel were “taken out of context.”

Rodgers was also widely criticized in the media after it was revealed he had not been vaccinated against Covid. He had previously said he was “immunized” against the virus, which many interpreted to mean he had received the vaccine.

He had another media-related criticism earlier this week when he accused Jets holdout Haason Reddick’s agent of being behind critical leaks about himself and his team.

In August, The Athletic published a report titled “NFL Agents Dish on Best (and Worst) Franchise” and included comments on a number of teams submitted by anonymous representatives.

In this case, the agent claimed that there was “complete disarray” at the Jets facility in Florham Park, New Jersey. Among the issues listed were Rodgers’ decision to skip minicamp after suffering a season-ending injury in 2023, as well as concerns that the quarterback had too much power within the franchise.

Whether that’s true or not, Rodgers looked good against the Patriots and there’s real optimism about the Jets’ 2-1 record.
