New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson isn’t fazed by the criticism of New York Giants forward Malik Nabers after the rookie wideout suffered a concussion in Week 4.

“Shut up BH,” Wilson wrote on X in response to a fan who criticized Nabers’ performance in the Giants’ 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Friday.

Shut up, bra.

Nabers put a record became the first NFL wide receiver to record 25 catches and three touchdowns in his first four games before exiting with a concussion in the fourth quarter on Thursday.

Before the injury, which he suffered after landing awkwardly while making a fourth-and-6 on the Giants’ 45-yard line in the final minutes of Thursday’s loss, he made 12 catches for 115 yards.

Nabers wrote on his Instagram Story that he was “feeling fine” after the game and then returned to the Giants’ facility on Friday, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.

He will have to go through the concussion protocol to play in the Giants’ next game, although the Week 4 game Thursday will give him more time to recover before next Sunday’s Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks pending.

Nabers’ return will be crucial to the Giants’ hopes of a second win behind quarterback Daniel Jones, as offensive coordinator Mike Kafka appears to be focusing his team’s passing game on the rookie wideout.

Through four games, Nabers has made 35 catches on 52 targets and, after Thursday’s game, currently leads the NFL with 386 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

The fan seemed to point out that during the Giants’ Week 2 loss, Nabers made a fourth-and-4 at the Washington Commanders’ 22-yard line with two minutes left in the game, moments later telling Ryan Dunleavy about it New York Post was “difficult to wash away.”

If Nabers can return in Week 5, the No. 6 pick in the 2024 draft could remain on track to challenge the rookie wideout record of 1,486 receiving yards set by Los Angeles Rams’ Puka Nacua in 2023.

Meanwhile, Wilson, the No. 10 pick in the 2022 draft, has had a quieter start to the season as the Jets continue to rely on their running back duo of Breece Hall and Braelon Allen to power the offense. In three games, Wilson has made 15 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown.

Both he and Nabers will play key roles in their respective teams’ offenses this fall, and so far it looks like Wilson is keeping an eye on how those roles are discussed on social media.
