Bucs RBs Rachaad White and Bucky Irving play against Eagles

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running backs Rachaad White and Bucky Irving are both active for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

White had been listed as questionable due to food poisoning. Irving was questionable with a hamstring injury and had limited practice during the week, but had promised to play on Thursday when he spoke to reporters.

The Buccaneers will also have defensive tackle Vita Vea for Sunday’s game. Vea, who was listed as questionable, did not play in last week’s loss to the Denver Broncos after suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his right knee on Sept. 15 against the Detroit Lions.

Tampa Bay will be without starter Luke Goedeke, who failed concussion protocol on Saturday and was downgraded to out for Sunday’s game. It’s the third straight week the Buccaneers will be without Goedeke, who suffered a concussion in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. Goedeke had been practicing all week. He had limited practice on Wednesday, full practice on Thursday and then limited practice on Friday. The Buccaneers have given up 12 sacks in the last two weeks without him.

For the second straight day, the Buccaneers recalled veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard from the practice squad, accounting for a hamstring injury suffered Friday by rookie wide receiver Jalen McMillan and an ankle injury suffered by Kameron Johnson. Due to Jake Camarda’s recent struggles, they also elevated player Trenton Gill.

ESPN’s Jenna Laine contributed to this report.
