Carson Beck’s NFL Draft Stock Is Praised by Fans Amid Georgia-Alabama Struggles | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

Carson Beck didn’t have a great performance in the first half against Alabama.

The Georgia Bulldogs quarterback went 8 of 17 for 98 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions as his team fell into a 30-7 hole after the first 30 minutes.

This came after he was ranked as the consensus top quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, with ESPN’s Mel Kiper ranking him as the No. 2 quarterback and ESPN’s Field Yates ranking him as the top quarterback.

Fans on social media rejected this review, calling him overrated.

Just keep an eye on how hard Carson Beck’s receivers have to work for the football too often. His erratic ball placement continues to be an issue. From a scouting perspective, the biggest difference is when comparing him to Shedeur Sanders (as I didn’t mention earlier this week).

While Beck still has some time to change the narrative in the second half, he will still likely suffer a major setback from this performance.

He entered the game with 680 passing yards, seven touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 3-0 record. He has a long way to go to close the current gap.
