Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 4: Brock Bowers, Zamir White

We thought the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 3 game against the Carolina Panthers would be a blast for running back Zamir White and tight end Brock Bowers, but that wasn’t the case.

Instead, the Raiders were blown out of the game, wiping out the flow of the game for White, who was held to 10 carries for 34 yards and wasn’t targeted once in the passing game while playing a season-low 14 snaps.

Bowers was also quiet, catching three balls for 41 yards in his least productive game of the 2024 season. What made Bowers’ performance even more disappointing was the fact that the game’s script favored him.

Knowing all this, should either Bowers or White be on deck in your fantasy football lineup with a Week 4 matchup against the Cleveland Browns? Let’s find out.

UPDATE (9/28): With Davante Adams out, the Raiders will rely on Bowers even more than usual. We already had him as a starter, but now he’s an even more attractive lineup option in Week 4 (end of update).

Bowers is coming off his worst game of the 2024 season, and this isn’t a great game as the Browns are giving up the 12th fewest fantasy points per game to the position.

However, that’s not enough to bench the extremely talented rookie, who we’re calling a weekly starter after his breakout performance in Week 2. Bowers still ranks second on the team in targets and is tied for first in receptions. Because the tight end position is so thin, they’ll have to roll him out there for another week.

Verdict: Start ‘Em

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 4: Zamir White

Given the way the Browns’ offense has played this season, this game should represent a positive scenario for White, although we thought that last week against the Panthers before the Raiders went out of the game and White only saw 14 snaps .

While he still averages about 12 touchdowns per game, the Browns also give up the 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs and White hasn’t found the end zone or rushed for more than 44 yards in a game. He simply cannot be trusted, especially behind Las Vegas’ struggling offensive line.

Verdict: Sit ‘Em
